FAQ

We have compiled answers to our most common queries here to help you find the practical information you need right away.

Can I self refer to your clinic?

Yes, you do not need a referral in order to book an appointment with one of our consultants.

Please note that most private healthcare insurers will require a GP referral however.

What if I am worried about someone else's mental health?

Unfortunately, we can only work with patients who are able to consent to the treatment.

We can book a session to discuss general mental health matters/provide psychoeducation to friends and family.

02

I am in a crisis now. Can you help me?

Because we are not available 24/7, we cannot treat you if the risk to yourself or others is high, or if your illness is particularly severe and acute. We would signpost you to the service that can help.

We recommend you use NHS 999 or visit A&E if you're in current crisis. We can help once things become more settled.

03

What conditions do you treat?

We assess and treat mood disorders (such as depression or bipolar disorder), anxiety, insomnia and less severe psychosis.

We assess a variety of other conditions to help you understand why you’re feeling or behaving in the way you are, including trauma, attachment difficulties, psychosomatic disorders, autism, eating disorders, or addictions.

04

Do you diagnose and treat ADHD?

Right now, we do not test for ADHD or give ADHD medicine. If you think ADHD is your main problem, we can help you find a different clinic that is an expert in ADHD.

If you have been diagnosed with ADHD by another professional and have other mental health issues, we are trained to treat you in neurodiversity-informed way and adapt the treatment plans.

05

Are there any conditions you cannot treat?

There are some conditions we do not specialise in, and if they are identified as the primary problem, we will signpost you to another relevant service if you wish. These include brain injury and dementia.

Because the clinic operates only certain days of the week, we cannot treat people with very severe mental or physical disorders that result in risk to self or others or that need intense monitoring.
